Flydubai flight FZ1073, Dubai → Tel Aviv, 30 September 2026. Boeing 737, about 174 passengers.

The captain (UAE citizen) was attacked and stabbed by the first officer (Omani citizen). Authorities are treating it as a possible terrorist attack.

The aircraft suddenly lost altitude and nearly crashed. It transmitted distress codes, including the hijack code.

Passengers helped open the cockpit and subdue the attacker.

Two other pilots traveling as passengers — a Russian and a Ukrainian — took over the controls and landed the plane in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. All passengers survived.
