The Commodities Division of the Research Department is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Research Analyst (RA) with strong quantitative and analytical skills.

The Commodities Division provides timely assessments of energy and commodity markets developments and research to enhance our understanding of commodity markets and their importance for the macroeconomy. The successful candidate will support the CU’s commodity market surveillance agenda and contribute to analytical work of the unit.

The main responsibilities include:
Researching, collecting, and compiling information on commodity markets. Maintaining and updating quantitative and qualitative economic, financial, and statistical databases (including retrieving data from Bloomberg, HAVER, and DataStream).
Processing, consolidating, and transforming data sets, using statistical and/or econometric techniques.
Preparing charts and tables, accessing and manipulating macroeconomic data from a wide range of sources.
Assisting staff economists in conducting quantitative data analysis utilizing econometric and other statistical tools.

Minimum qualification is a Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, computer science, or other related quantitative fields. The successful candidate should have the proven ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
