NU ACM-W Student Chapter

This Tuesday we’re hosting Bloomberg Tech Careers, an online guest lecture with a software engineer, a recruiter, and a recent intern from Bloomberg.

We’ll be joined by Aisana Sarsembayeva, Senior Software Engineer, NU graduate, and former ACM@NU member; Lucy Webbe from Bloomberg’s Tech Talent Acquisition team; and Sanzhar Mars, ACM@NU member and Bloomberg intern in 2026.

They’ll talk about 2027 internship and full-time opportunities, the recruitment process, and their experiences at Bloomberg. Aisana will share her path from intern to full-time engineer, and Sanzhar will discuss his internship this summer. There’ll also be a live Q&A, so bring your questions.

This Tuesday we’re hosting a guest lecture with Darkhonbek Mamataliev, a Senior Software Engineer at Roblox with more than 9 years of experience in Big Tech, including TikTok and Uber.

Over the course of his career, Darkhonbek has worked at some of the world’s largest technology companies and built extensive experience in software engineering, career growth, and navigating the Big Tech environment. He is also a FAANG interview prep coach, helping engineers prepare for highly competitive technical roles.

He’ll share practical lessons from his experience at Uber, TikTok, and Roblox, talk about growing as a software engineer, approaching career decisions, and what helps engineers stand out in the industry.

If you’re preparing for internships or full-time roles, thinking about a career in Big Tech, or simply want to learn from someone with years of industry experience, come by.

This Monday we’re hosting a guest lecture with Kadirbek Sharau, ACM@NU and NU’23 Computer Science alumnus, currently a Software Engineer at Google.

Kadirbek completed two internships at Google before joining full-time. He has worked as a Middle SWE and with Google Cloud SRE, so this session will be a practical look at what the path into big tech actually looks like.

He’ll talk about getting into Google, internships, interviews, working as an engineer there, and what students can do now to build a stronger start to their careers.
