what i know for sure is i will never be bored with my body. how about a random 10x bump in sensitivity gain both in hearing and the retina.

now wearing headphones with lights off, still seeing and hearing everything indoors and outdoors.

at least the bathroom black is actual black. well, except for the glowing door contour.

The surgery suddenly made the nose like 10x more sensitive 🤯 more "channels" not just intensity

Now the world is sooo full of fragrances, smells, aromas, odors, fumes, scents. Overwhelmingly so!

χаотичні нотатки meantime we've downloaded a-little-bit-quantized Kimi K3 checkpoint and now trying to fit it into that setup. Which is quite a quest. 900 GiB of weights, 8x128 GiB of RAM and 8x the OS/driver overhead, plus various CUDA buffers... funny side quest is it doesn't…
got tired of juggling the files across many small SSDs so added a 52T archive.
cables could be arranged a bit nicer but I must admit I already like how the stack looks overall

We're talking about self-improving AIs replacing SaaS, meantime I had recently talked to people who introduce SaaS to businesses still running on pen, paper, copiers and faxes.
They don't feel in danger at all. Like, that market is /big/

χаотичні нотатки coming from the vanilla Ethernet world I would never have thought ordering 400G and 200G cables is such a big deal. per-vendor coding, breakout (split) cables, oh my.
i used to say "im good at finding nonstandard solutions but def not the daily ops guy" now I have a great example—was bored waiting for the rest of the cables to arrive, assembled the cluster with what i have—and now farming the XP off every trap on the map because the interconnect topology is VERY nonstandard ahahah.

• Routed RoCE through G works—but large NCCL collectives are currently pathological.

- Disabled RoCE processing on G’s two transit PFs, allowing Linux to forward UDP/4791.
- Routed H→A RDMA passed:
- 4 KiB: ~5.30 Gb/s average, 1 MiB: ~2.32 Gb/s average

- Seven-rank NCCL:
- 4 KiB correct at 0.51–0.60 ms
- 1 MiB correct but ~3.97 seconds
- 16 MiB timed out after 120 seconds

- Eight-rank NCCL fails because NCCL still constructs a G↔️H tree edge despite forcing Ring, selecting incompatible
GIDs.
