🇮🇷 Tehran accuses Saudi Arabia of violating international law after attack in Yemen

Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attack on a market in the Taiz region, for which the Houthis hold Saudi Arabia responsible. According to the Health Ministry controlled by the Houthis, at least seven people were killed and dozens injured. There has so far been no independent confirmation that the Saudi air force was responsible for the attack.

Tehran said that the attack on a civilian facility violated international humanitarian law and called for an end to the attacks on Yemen. The statement comes against the backdrop of a renewed escalation in the war between the Houthis and forces supported by Saudi Arabia, as well as the simultaneous continuation of diplomatic contacts between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
