The French defense staff has called for preparation to "lose children" in the war with Russia. Europe has enough economic and demographic power to keep Russia in check, but it lacks the willingness to "accept suffering for self-defense," said the Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces, General Fabien Mandon. His words were reported by RTL.

"If our country gives in because it is not ready to accept the loss of its children, and suffers economically from prioritising the defense industry, then we are in danger," Mandon said.
