Hey everyone! It’s been a while since my last post. I've been working hard on a new project, and it's finally ready for a test run:
https://openchemdb.com
Remember those databases for DataWarrior I shared a while ago? Now you can use them directly through this website! No more downloading or installing anything — everything is available online. Go ahead and try searching for something!
Journal database (Sprezi): ~3 million reactions.
Book database: around 50k reactions.
Bonus: If you register, you’ll get your own personal electronic lab notebook (ELN) — a private database where you can store your chemical experiments, complete with structure search capabilities! I already use it to store mine.
Note: The service is currently in beta testing, so bugs are expected, and 100% stability isn't guaranteed yet. Right now, it’s mostly a UI for my two databases, but the long-term plan is to build something much bigger: a community-driven, crowdsourced database. This takes time and thorough testing, so stay tuned!
