A well-known NFT whale, @ddos, has long been providing NFT escrow and collateralized lending services. Many users entrusted him with valuable NFTs as collateral in exchange for short-term liquidity.
However, about two hours ago, reports emerged that his Tonkeeper wallet may have been compromised. Multiple high-value NFTs were allegedly transferred out of the wallet, while assets including Gramcoin were also reportedly stolen. Given the scale of the assets involved, the incident quickly drew widespread attention across the Chinese-speaking crypto community.
What has made the situation even more suspicious is that several victims reportedly called his phone number, only to find that the person answering was not him. As a result, numerous theories have emerged. Some believe it is simply a wallet hack, while others are questioning whether his personal safety may be involved, with some even speculating about a possible kidnapping.
As of now, however, @ddos has not appeared publicly to address the situation himself. Instead, all communication has reportedly been relayed through intermediaries. Rather than calming concerns, this has only intensified speculation and made the entire incident even more mysterious.
