✳️ TELEGRAM | CALLS & VIDEO CALLS ✳️

Is Telegram planning to add calls or video calls like whatsapp?

Directly from the FAQ:

We specialize in sending messages, large media and files (and we do this better than anyone out there). There are still many things that we can revolutionize in messaging. And messaging is obviously trending at the moment, so our focus remains in that area for now.

While voice and video calls may seem attractive, we do not consider them to be part of the core messaging experience. And since both these features require considerable resources in terms of time, work and maintenance. We'd rather use all that energy to bring you a fast, secure and reliable messenger, capable of transferring large files, syncing across many devices and keeping you happy without those pesky incoming calls.
