Pavel Durov Interrogated Again in France (July 8, 2026)

Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov was questioned for over six hours on Wednesday by French investigating judges in Paris. This marks his fourth interrogation since his 2024 indictment.

The session focused on allegations that Telegram enabled organized crime (including drug trafficking, child exploitation material, and fraud) through insufficient moderation and cooperation with authorities. Durov, who has been under judicial supervision since his August 2024 arrest at Le Bourget Airport, denies the charges and insists there is no evidence of his personal responsibility. His lawyers have filed appeals in French and European courts.
