Vladimir Putin extended best wishes to Marat Kambolov, in particular wishing him success in implementing his campaign plans.

The ceremony to launch facilities as part of the social programme to expand the gas distribution network was the next event on the President’s schedule

This is one of the most important initiatives for our people, for the regions, for the domestic fuel and energy complex and for the country as a whole.
Russia holds the world’s biggest natural gas reserves. Our goal is to make sure that this resource primarily serves our country helping to develop the economy and social sphere and improve the quality of life for our people.
I would like to stress that the programme to connect households to the gas distribution network has no end date. We will continue this work, as well as the effort to connect our cities and regions, including, of course, Siberia and Russia’s Far East, to the gas distribution network.

Vladimir Putin took part in the presentation of new civil aviation facilities via videoconference
 

For Russia, having a developed aviation network is an important factor in ensuring connectivity between regions and transport accessibility for remote areas, including in the Arctic, Siberia and in the Russian Far East. Of course, modern airports serve as an additional driver of economic growth for the regions, helping boost trade, business activity and tourism by offering higher service quality and faster passenger processing.

The videoconference also included a ceremony to sign an agreement on delivering the MC-21-310 aircraft.

Aeroflot is ordering 90 new MC-21 aircraft. This is a major long-term contract that will fill the order books of our aircraft manufacturers, as well as their suppliers and contractors. I hope that they will be carried out in strict accordance with the planned schedule, without delays or disruptions. Once again, let me stress that delivering on this objective will have a major bearing on increasing the mobility of the population, making air travel more accessible across the country, and ensuring the steady operation of the entire aviation sector.

I urge you to exercise your constitutional right and make a thought-out and responsible decision, so that the election results attest to the maturity and resilience of Russian society. This will be our collective response to those who seek to undermine Russia, slow down its development, or strip away our sovereignty or our right to determine our own future,

The President met with Khabarovsk Territory Governor Dmitry Demeshin at the Kremlin

In his report, the governor briefed the President on his region's economic performance, presenting the key indicators. This year, the region's GRP could reach 1.9 trillion rubles. Clusters for aircraft industry and shipbuilding are being fostered, with innovations introduced in local manufacturing companies. A university campus is now being established in the region in cooperation with Russia's leading universities. In addition, the improvement of urban agglomerations is in progress according to the approved master plans.
