To F-Droid users:
The latest version of F-Droid (7.7.2.299) has a known issue where NekoX crashes immediately after startup. Please do not update NekoX in F-Droid and wait for the next version.

The GitHub version is not affected.

NekogramX will continue to be maintained as much as possible, but given that as a downstream, we have no way to release any updates in the play store after May 5th, we have removed the app from the play store in response to this revenge.

A reminder that the play store allows the official Telegram app to be located in the background to get location information, but not us, an open source third party app (even though we carried out the application process for a long time). You can think of exceptions or grace periods they get from play, but we can't :(

We won't be doing any "fix" for this email until the partitioned storage compatibility issue is officially fixed; users can continue to get updates from F-Droid or GitHub and we thank them for their continued support.

About The direct send:

It has been exploited, so we thought we could make it public. We will roll back this change after the server fixes this bug.

You can use @TdGroupBot (published under AGPL) to prevent people who have not joined from sending messages in the group.

About the ws relay: it uses WebSocket (/ over TLS) to directly connect to the Telegram server through the CDN, so it has better usability.

ps: we do not use Nekogram's closed source binary files, but re-implement it with the FOSS library: In some cases, the performance is better, but devices below Android L (5.0) are not supported.

ps1: Due to technical reasons, the relay needs to be logged in once before it can be used.
