🎙️🇮🇹 Allegri "We have every chance of progressing to the next round."

🎙️🇮🇹 Allegri on his heated exchanges with KDB "He has better technical ability than McTominay, who would have been more useful inside the penalty area. We didn’t understand each other."

🎙️🇮🇹 Allegri "It has almost become embarrassing to know how to defend. Tonight, our defenders defended very well, but we needed to do better and show more patience when we didn’t have the ball. All these goals we’re conceding demand greater defensive awareness."

🎙️🇮🇹 Allegri on the situation leading to the 2-1 goal for Villarreal:

"We should have reacted more quickly and closed down the player taking the shot. But before that, we played four pointless one-metre passes, giving them time to come and press us."

🎙️🇮🇹 Allegri "We need to find a bit of balance. We create a lot going forward, but we tend to concede quite a lot when we defend. We took the lead and had two chances to make it 2-0. Tonight, at a certain point, we stopped playing as a team."
