Waterfalls are among nature’s most striking sights, but Drung Waterfall in Tangmarg, near Gulmarg in Kashmir’s Baramulla district, has an unexpected origin: it’s man-made.

Built to channel excess water from a nearby dam, it has become a captivating destination in its own right.

In winter, the falls freeze into a dramatic curtain of ice. When the ice melts, the water joins the surrounding glacial streams, bringing a sense of calm to the lush mountain landscape.
