As of September 14, Google’s certification reviews go beyond the ads themselves. Your account’s compliance history, violations across agency-managed accounts, and domain ownership all factor in.
Here’s what to check:
1️⃣ Your account’s compliance history
The «good policy health» requirement now covers all categories under Google’s Gambling and Games Policy. Past violations can affect certification, even if your account is currently in good standing.
2️⃣ Your agency’s manager account (MCC)
Repeated gambling policy violations or online gambling certification revocations across accounts linked to the same MCC could leave that MCC ineligible for new certifications. Existing certifications may also be at risk.
3️⃣ Domain ownership
The certification applicant must directly own and control the domain. A free subdomain won’t cut it.
❗️Before your next launch or budget increase, review your account history, certification status, and domain ownership. If an agency manages your campaigns, make sure you know how it flags violations, and what happens next.
