As I’m getting ready for the release of Stacy's Brain MVP, I’m benchmarking my key hypotheses – so I decided to share my flow.
(Steal / discuss / argue – all welcome)
1. ICPs + on-site behavior + success metrics
I defined the ICPs and their behavior patterns. For example: marketers / founders who are building a strat right now will visit 5+ insight cards per session.
The longer the session and the more cards they save, the stronger the ICP–product fit.
2. Basic analytics + benchmarks
I have a long list of basic metrics to track: pages per visit, visit length, waitlist submissions per repeated session, etc. If you’d like a detailed guide, let me know with a 👀 – this topic is pretty comprehensive.
3. Citation benchmarks
Mentions on X / LinkedIn / third-party websites – any kind of word of mouth that could drive organic growth.
4. Channel goals
Metrics only become meaningful after enough unique sessions. In most cases, 2–3K unique visitors is enough for accurate conversion and retention math.
5. Next: growth paths
Since there are multiple ICPs with different behavior patterns, the MVP should reveal which category has the best ICP fit – so we can scale in that direction. That’s why I already have several growth scenarios, each with $$ projections, risks, and a signal map.
6. Pre-release backlog
Based on everything above, I know what actions I need to track to make the next decisions – so I already have additional CTAs and survey blocks in my backlog, ready for the dev team to pick up.
If you have further improvement ideas, let me know fam
