Liquid Network hit by $320M exploit, transactions halted – Link

A Bitcoin sidechain settlement layer used by several exchanges, Blockstream's Liquid Network, was drained of roughly 4,000 BTC (≈$320M) by attackers claiming to be "white hats." The network has been fully paused.

Matters because: The exploit adds to a recent run of major crypto hacks and could weigh on confidence in Bitcoin-adjacent infrastructure, even if the damage has been contained to the sidechain rather than BTC spot.
