WEMIX contract compromised; tokens illegally minted – Link

WEMIX said attackers gained contract owner privileges and minted about 5.22 million WEMIX tokens, worth roughly $6.25 million. The token price fell 16.65% after the breach.

Matters because: the incident highlights smart contract security risks and may pressure confidence in gaming-focused blockchain projects.
