Sui Foundation and Mysten Labs launched the Hashi testnet, allowing Bitcoin to serve as collateral for onchain lending without wrapping or bridging. More than 25 institutional partners, including BitGo, FalconX, and Ledger, are testing the protocol.
Matters because: It could unlock capital efficiency in the $1.4 trillion Bitcoin market and support institutional DeFi participation.
