Why $WL1 stands out to me among all the projects jumping on the AI hype:

Their public repos include tokenized datasets from 2022 and on-chain AI work from 2023. This direction predates the current inference hype.

They already have Forest, an open-source toolkit for training, tokenizing and running smaller AI models with reproducible on-chain results.

GL1AI aims to build on that: connecting model ownership, licensing, GPU providers and automated payments in native L1.

That existing foundation and long-term focus are what make it interesting to me. The new inference marketplace still needs to launch and prove demand, but there is relevant work behind the announcement.
