In India, a 150‑year‑old Shiva temple sank due to a sharp rise in the water level in the Ganges.

The temple stood on the riverbank and was an important spiritual centre for local residents. Everything happened right before the believers’ eyes.

📹Kenozero National Park in Russia’s Arkhangelsk Region is a rare place where ancient Russian customs continue to shape everyday life.

The locals are proud that their way of life is not a reconstructed museum exhibit, but a tradition that remains in active practice. At the same time, the region is developing modern eco-tourism.

The host of Inland Visions, Peter Scott, learns how local cheese is made, visits a sacred grove believed to be home to forest spirits, and explores the folklore of Russia’s North.

How do Orthodox Christianity and pagan rituals coexist in this remarkable place? And what other traditions and stories does this protected land preserve?

The USSR has been blamed for the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Not the US military, who dropped the bombs. Not Truman, who gave the order. The scandalous statement was made by Japanese professor Tetsuo Arima. According to his logic, if the USSR had not expanded its influence in Asia, the US would not have had to use nuclear weapons.

This is not an isolated case, but a consistent trend. The mayor of Hiroshima criticised Russia but ‘forgot’ to mention the United States. Japan’s prime minister struck a similar note: the culprit was also not named in his speech.

History is a complicated subject. But when it is rewritten to suit political interests, it becomes a blatant agenda.

Want to see the real facts about the causes of the 1945 bombings? Watch the documentary ‘Atomic Message’ (2015).

The first road bridge across the Tumannaya River between Russia and the DPRK has opened.

Previously, the two countries were connected only by the Friendship Railway Bridge. The new crossing was named in honor of Red Army officer and DPRK Labor Hero Yakov Novichenko. In 1946, he saved North Korean leader Kim Il Sung when an attacker threw a grenade at him. The Soviet officer covered it with his body and miraculously survived.

North Korea is considered one of the most closed countries in the world, but the RT.Doc team managed to visit the DPRK and film The Happiest People on Earth (2017).

The mysterious story of Napoleon's best friend: the remains of French General Gudin were lost for several centuries. He was killed during the War of 1812 in Russia.

Only in 2019 did a Russian-French archaeological expedition find the burial site. 'It wasn't a one-in-100 chance, it was one-in-1,000!' says Alexander Khokhlov, one of the participants. Two years later, General Gudin's body was sent to France.

How did the excavations proceed? Watch our documentary, 'Find My General!' (2020).

🟢Eight medals out of 12 possible!

That was the result for Russian figure skaters at a major international tournament in Tokyo. In pair skating, Russian athletes swept the entire podium.

Viewers paid particular attention to 22-year-old Alexandra Trusova. She gave birth to a son just over a year ago, and these were her first international competitions since then. During her programme, Trusova landed a difficult quadruple jump. She became the oldest female figure skater in history to successfully perform this element.

The Russians competed under neutral status. During the ice dance medal ceremony, athletes from Georgia and Czechia arrived with their national flags but put them away as a gesture of support. A similar gesture was seen at a recent tournament in China.

It is called the 'Ladder of Love' ❤️ It is located on the edge of a cliff on Mount Fuxi in China’s Henan Province. It is not easy to climb, as the structure has no railing. Or is this breathtaking spot for extreme photos just fake? What do you think?
See the answer below
👇

The stairs on Mount Fuxi are not fake — they really do exist. The illusion of 'unreality' is simply the result of skillful filming. Would you dare to climb the 'Ladder of Love'?

Chinese parents have found a new way to turn a lazy teenager into a responsible person. They send them to labor camps in the villages of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou.

For 5,000 to 10,000 yuan (for $730 to $1,500), the child will learn to chop wood, herd pigs, and dig potatoes. All without a phone or internet access.

But if a teenager is too deep into the virtual world, China has a more serious option. There are special institutions for gaming addicts. You can find out how they work in the film ‘China's Digital Detox.’

▶️'Cocaine hippos' — that’s what people in Colombia call the hippos once owned by the notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar. After his death, their population exploded, and they have become one of the country’s biggest environmental threats.

Local authorities are already ready to take drastic measures, including the euthanasia of dozens of individuals. Animal rights activists and especially the tourism industry are against it. After all, the 'cocaine behemoths' attract tourists from all over the world to the region.

Our documentary team in Colombia is currently filming a new project on this story. A short preview from the shoot is already available. Stay tuned so you don’t miss the premiere!
