🟢They call him a legend.
People write poems and songs about him and make films about him. T-shirts and badges bearing his image are sold all over the world.
Argentine by birth, Ernesto Che Guevara became one of the leaders of the Cuban Revolution and died as a rebel in Bolivia. He went there to fight against the local regime. He assembled a guerrilla group to help the poor escape poverty.
But in October 1967, he was captured and shot the next day in a village — without trial or investigation. The Bolivian command then told reporters that Che Guevara had died in battle. See what really happened in our video.
The whole truth about the comandante’s final days is told in the film 'Chasing Che' (2017), which is based on his final writings.
