🟢There is a bogong moth invasion in Australia.
Thousands of these insects have flooded the streets of Sydney, covering windows and balconies and even getting into residential buildings. Local residents are unhappy about it and are sharing videos online.
Environmentalists, however, are pleased. Bogong moths are an endangered species, and such a large-scale return gives hope that their population may recover.
Meanwhile, in the United States, a different phenomenon occurs periodically: billions of cicadas emerge at once. To learn more about the world’s loudest insects, watch the film 'Cicadas v USA' (2021).
