▶️The unity of the peoples of Dagestan is truly remarkable. This region of Russia is the country’s most multinational and multilingual. About 40 indigenous peoples live in the republic, yet they are united by a shared history, traditions, and love for their native land, even though dozens of languages are spoken there.

Tofurious Crane, an American with Russian roots, saw this for himself. He heard the legendary Avar tongue twister about 8,888 frogs croaking under a bridge.
