the reason why we broke up is, was because we were both scared. scared of being vulnerable, scared of getting hurt, scared of giving too much of ourselves away. instead of trusting each other, we built walls and called them protection. every time we had the chance to be honest, fear spoke louder than love. in the end, it wasn't a lack of feelings that ended us, it was our inability to let those feelings be seen.
