Key points from the speech delivered by Hezbollah Secretary-General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem at the ceremony marking the second annual anniversary of the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary-General, Master of the Ummah's Martyrs, Hujjat Al-Islam wa Al-Muslimeen His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (may Allah sanctify his soul), and Hezbollah Secretary-General Hujjat Al-Islam wa Al-Muslimeen Sayyed Hashem Safieddine (may Allah sanctify his soul):

– We gather on the second anniversary of the ascension of the two Secretary-Generals (may Allah sanctify their souls), alongside a group of mujahideen, martyrs, men, children, and women.

– This anniversary is blessed by the elevated status of the martyrs and blessed by the continuation of the path; it has granted us steadfastness and endurance.

– My beloved master, companion on the path, and brother leader in the journey of Hezbollah and its resistance, you entered our hearts, filled our minds, and charted the features of the path toward our cherished life.

– My beloved master, you are the resistance and the resistance is you, and you became its symbol for the free people of the world.

– My beloved master, you were the leader and became the inspiring leader for the world.

– You departed in body, but your teachings remained, and the light of giving that provides us with determination remained.

– We will continue along this Muhammadan-Alawite path, the path of Imam Khomeini, the path of Imam Khamenei, and the path of Imam Musa Al-Sadr—the path of Wilayah and jihad.

– Palestine will remain the compass, as will the liberation of our land.

– My master, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, you never rested, tired, or wearied in serving this path, and you were the support and aide of the Master of the Ummah's Martyrs.

– My master, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, you left us swiftly, but your steadfast steps will remain a landmark on the jihadist path of the resistance and the resistance fighters.

– Four jihadist aides were martyred in the Battle of The Formidable in Might.

– The jihadist aide Sayyed Fouad Shukr was among the founders of resistance work in Hezbollah and played a major role in building the resistance formations.

– The jihadist aide Hajj Ibrahim Aqil lived a life rich in jihadist activity since the “Israeli” invasion and played a leading role in establishing the Radwan Force.

– The jihadist aide Hajj Abdul-Moneim Karaki spent more than four decades engaged in Islamic work and establishing the first resistance cells, and assumed responsibility for the Master of the Martyrs headquarters during the support front period.

– The jihadist aide Sayyed Suhail Husseini assumed the chief-of-staff responsibility in 2008, developed the formations, and was an educator and intellectual.

– The martyr commander and mujahid Sheikh Nabil Qaouk was a true pillar alongside the Master of the Ummah's Martyrs and assumed several responsibilities, the last of which was preventive security.

– We must remember the martyr commander Abbas Nilforoushan, who stood alongside the resistance as an aide, adviser, and commander.

– Alongside His Eminence Sayyed Hashemi, Hajj Mortada, Hajj Adel Mohammed Bahsoun, and Hajj Maher Shaheen were martyred.

– A special salute must be extended to the living martyrs, the pager attack wounded, who set a remarkable example, as well as to the oppressed prisoners, and to all the people who stood by the martyrs and prisoners.

– A salute to the 3,400 male and female martyrs among the resistance fighters and the people.

– The Hezbollah Shura Council decided to designate the entire phase that began with the Battle of the Formidable in Might up to the present day as the “We Remain True to the Pledge” phase.

– “We Remain True to the Pledge” means that we are continuing, and that when a leadership is martyred, another leadership takes its place and continues along the path of the previous covenant.
