🐐 Goats that ignore gravity

Alpine ibex look like gravity does not apply to them.

They can stand on near vertical cliffs and even climb dams with angles around 60 degrees.

The secret is in their hooves. They have a soft inner pad that grips the surface and a hard outer edge for traction, plus strong muscles and great balance.

In the Alps, they often climb dams to lick salt from the rocks.

It looks like magic, but it is just perfect adaptation to mountain life.
