Radiant landscapes by Mikhail Georgievich Abakumov (1948–2010), an outstanding Soviet and Russian painter, People's Artist of the Russian Federation.

My credo in painting: to celebrate the world of God in its beauty, harmony, and light. If I can convey divine light, that will be true happiness… Perhaps I paint an ideal land—but this is exactly how I would wish to see Russia.

M.G. Abakumov
