📹His unit is the number one target of the Ukrainian army.

Hero of Russia Andrey Solovyov commands a platoon of heavy flamethrowers.

His soldiers often find themselves on the brink of death but always manage to break through enemy encirclements. During the war, they have destroyed 12 mortar and 3 artillery batteries of the UAF.

Andrey confesses that he worries more about his soldiers than himself in battle. He often speaks of the platoon's exploits and seldom his own. His story is featured in the fifth episode of our 'Here and Now' documentary series.
