Every day, reconnaissance units of the Russian Defence Ministry's Africa Corps scour Mali's deserts for militants.

There is no front line. The enemy attacks from cover, so the entire territory of the country is one continuous frontline.

One such mission was captured in Alexander Kharchenko and Mikhail Burov’s film ‘Frontline Mali.’ The film is featured in the collection of the ‘RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes’ festival.
