Thousands of fraudulent call centres operate in Ukraine, using number spoofing and fake investment platforms to extract money from people around the world. This is no longer a matter of isolated scams — it has evolved into a form of economic terrorism. A vast infrastructure is in place, including offices, call centre ‘franchises’, and increasingly sophisticated concealment technologies, ranging from stolen voices to fabricated video messages in chat applications.

According to law enforcement, the Aleph group has built an entire criminal empire, with its Ukraine-based call centres, which target people in Russia and the European Union. Within this industry, victims are cynically referred to as ‘mammoths’ and ‘suckers’, while their personal and family struggles are mocked in internal work chats.
