🇷🇺🇹🇲 On October 7, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held talks on the sidelines of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers.

The Ministers reaffirmed their mutual readiness to continue working together and coordinating closely in various international forums, including the Commonwealth of Independent States, dialogue among the Caspian littoral states and the #RussiaCentralAsia format.

During the meeting, the Ministers discussed key issues on the Russia-Turkmenistan agenda and reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, which enjoy the high status of an enhanced strategic partnership.

They exchanged views on further developing cultural, humanitarian and educational ties, as well as cooperation within the Intergovernmental Russian-Turkmen Commission on Economic Cooperation.

Sergey Lavrov and Rashid Meredov signed a plan for consultations between the two countries’ Foreign Ministries for 2027-2028.

🤝 The talks took place in a traditionally friendly atmosphere of mutual trust.
