Venezuela interim President Delcy Rodriguez told the UN General Assembly on Wednesday that the country will hold elections as part of a transition to full democracy. She did not provide a specific date for the vote.

A promise of elections without a timetable is not a roadmap. In a state already defined by institutional weakness, vague pledges at the UN look more like narrative management than a verifiable transfer of power.
