Stay tuned lads and lasses😆

Dear girlies!

To you all today 🍷
To your power, charm and love for life in all situations

👄😎👸 ❤️‍🩹🤩🤩🍎🍎🎁💅
💅💆‍♀️🍸🎀🩷🌟🌸💙🔞😴🤩

Как я выяснила, ‘посыпать голову пеплом’ в русском has the same meaning in Eng - to eat humble pie - что значит раскаяться

Look what I’ve come across

It’s kind of a teensy bit weird to see these leaflets around London..

I do hope these activists will be able to stand up for their beliefs in the future and won’t be suffocated

For sure schools in UK are no more purely educational places but a base for nurturing woke/inclusive people нетакусь

What do you think?

*to be groomed - to be prepared for

commuters

opt to - make a choice

Extracts from the article:

He convinced his wife and two sons to move north 18 months ago and now spends approximately £8,300 each year on three commutes a week to his media job in Soho Square.

"You've got to bear I mind that you're not living in a big house that's accumulating London prices increases, and you're paying more money to a train company," he admits.

He spends £1,000 a month getting up at 5.10am to board the ferry to Portsmouth, catch a train to Waterloo and then a tube to Bank before, a short walk later, sitting down at his desk at 8.10am in Liverpool Street.

It's a six-hour round trip - but has sometimes lasted as long as eight and a half hours due to missed connections or cancellations.

Feels like Indian summer is officially over and we’re heading to chilly vibes

Also feels like I’m not ready yet for these changes..
New job is taking too much of my attention💧

Need your assistance,

But thank you, summer, for your active involvement in my life 🎀🌸✨🕶️🎀💋

*Indian summer -

After a long-standing ambition, I've finally manifested the ultimate career glow-up. I'm absolutely gobsmacked to know that I've locked in a position as a lecturer at HSE Uni. To be at the forefront of academia (at least for my groups🙈) at this uni is a true full-circle moment (👋🏼waving to ranepa). Time to embrace the grind 😄

#ThatsLife

😳manifest - make smth clear
😳glow-up - transformation

Ну что! lads and lasses

A school assembly

ps fostering a sense of community - воспитание чувства общности

Morning, lads and lasses 🤩

Some expressions derived from the most British game ever 🎩

The ball is in your court. This is one of the most common. It means it is now someone else's turn to speak, act, or make a decision. You have done your part and are waiting for their response

🎾I've sent them the proposal, so now the ball's in their court

An ace. Something done perfectly or successfully, often with an element of surprise or skill that leaves others unable to respond.

🎾Her presentation was an ace; the clients signed the contract immediately

A match point. The critical moment when a decisive action is needed to achieve victory

🎾This final negotiation is the match point for the entire deal

Behind the baseline. To be in a defensive or reactive position, rather than controlling the situation

🎾After the poor sales figures, the marketing team are behind the baseline

A let. A minor interruption or a chance to try something again without penalty

🎾The first interview was a bit of a let; the internet connection failed, so we had to start over

As you can see, it’s more like Business Eng but, of course, it isn’t limited to it
