MDV is a tiny app written by AVID editors for AVID editors.
Primarily it is made for media management at the file system level. Unlike the AVID’s Media tool, MDV uses direct file and path access and allows you to organize and archive your media inside the complex, not always simply-named structure of AVID’s media folders.
MDV supports all kinds of connected drives and media - from USB sticks to NEXIS storage, network drives, any kind of SAN, etc. MDV was extensively tested in AVID shared storage environments. Scanning speeds are optimized for low bandwidth - so you can manage and identify your media even over slower wi-fi network. The MDV scanner engine uses AVID’s .pmr and .mdb database files to identify media, and, as a result, MDV is compatible almost with any AVID editing system: Composer, Symphony, Express, or Newscutter.
MDV is free and will always be free.

🇺🇸In my experiments with archiving media i want to get all links for external media files from avid bins - Ama linked, imported media and whatever else. I need your .avb bin files for my experiments. Bins - containing ama,imported audio and graphics. from current and older projects. (i will not show or spread your bins in any way - don't worry ) I don't need your media files - only just zipped bins. Please send some to my e-mail djfio@yandex.ru

🇷🇺Хочу вытащить из бинов все линки на внешние файлы - например AMA и Импорченые файлы . Очень хочется например отсканировать бин и получить все ссылки для архивации файлов. Для этого мне нужны ваши бины для экспериментов. Кому какие не жалко 🙂. С амой исходниками и секвенциями, импорчёными картинками и аудио. ( я никому ваши бины не покажу) Сама медия не нужна, только голые бины сжатые в .zip. кидайте мне на почту djfio@yandex.ru

🇺🇸If you want to take some multicamera related media to work outside - just drag the bin containing your sequence over MDVx - and copy filtered media to your external drive

🇷🇺просто все: нажал, отсканировал, перетащил бин поверх окна и вот она вся медия меньше чем за 20 секунд. бери ее с собой куда хочешь
