⚡️🇱🇧🇮🇱🇺🇸 — Hezbollah lawmaker Fadlallah acknowledged that hundreds of kilograms of explosives seized with a vehicle at a checkpoint in Lebanon’s eastern Bekaa last week belonged to the group. A Hezbollah official and a Lebanese security source told Reuters the explosives were intended for attack drones targeting Israeli troops. Fadlallah said Hezbollah had contacted security agencies to claim the cargo and demand its return and the release of the two detainees, highlighting tensions over the government’s drive to bring all weapons under state control.

➡️ The Lebanese presidency said President Joseph Aoun told US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday that the army and security forces were implementing measures to prevent armed displays, confiscate weapons and ammunition, and combat smuggling, with judicial authorities to pursue referred cases without leniency. Aoun urged Washington to press Israel to halt attacks on southern Lebanese towns and villages, comply with the framework agreement, stop bulldozing and allow farmers to access their land without being targeted.
