Gabon | Training together to better understand security challenges
As part of the periodic deployments of detachments (known as “TANDEM”) carried out at the request of our partner , Gabonese and French soldiers jointly led several training sessions in forest and urban terrain:
Combat simulations and live-fire exercises
Hardening and forest combat training courses at the Academy for the protection of the environment and natural resources (APERN)
Reconnaissance and search operations
Training of instructors in various areas of operations
Training for officers of gabon’s defense and security forces enables them to provide rigorous instruction tailored to new recruits
Building the future, protecting and preserving Gabon’s environment and resources, thereby directly contributing to the stability and security of the country and the region
