The United States Ambassador to Panama, Kevin Marino Cabrera, expresses his solidarity with the Panamanian people following the recent earthquake.

At the direction of President Trump and at the request of the Government of Panama, as announced by Secretary of State Rubio, the State Department is mobilizing personnel and resources to provide assistance.
In close coordination with SINAPROC and Panamanian authorities, the State Department’s Office of Disaster Response and Humanitarian Assistance (DHR) and Southcom are preparing the air transport of emergency supplies for affected communities and hospitals.
Additionally, the deployment of a US urban search and rescue team, comprised of 22 specialists, including structural engineers, is being coordinated. This team will support damage assessments and work alongside Panamanian first response teams.
