⚡️🇺🇸🇮🇷 — The US Treasury sanctioned 17 additional vessels it says are tied to Iran’s “shadow fleet” and used to transport oil and gas, targeting Tehran’s ability to move and monetize petroleum/petrochemical exports. The vessels are registered across more than a dozen jurisdictions and, according to Treasury, have transported millions of barrels of Iranian crude, petroleum and petrochemical products. The measure alone is not expected to significantly affect Iran’s economy but targets the “remnants” of the shadow fleet, complementing existing sanctions. — US Treasury press release

Designated vessels include Vanuatu-flagged TINA 5 (>1.5M barrels of Iranian crude in August), Comoros-flagged LPG tanker SOGL (>2M barrels of Iranian propane and butane since September 2025) and Cameroon-flagged crude tanker SHENZHEN (>3.5M barrels of Iranian crude since November 2025).

➡️ A Treasury official said Iran has stopped loading and offloading oil due to the ongoing US blockade of its ports; Kpler data indicate Tehran has not loaded crude for export since August 25.
