⚡️🇹🇷 — Türkiye and the UK signed an agreement for 12 C-130J military transport aircraft, strengthening Ankara’s tactical airlift and logistics capacity; the first two are planned for delivery in December 2026 after maintenance in the UK. The Azerbaijani subsidiary of MKE signed an MoU with Miras on September 30 to modernise Azerbaijani BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles, with the first BMP-1TA TURAN unveiled at ADEX 2026. The upgrade replaces the legacy 73 mm main gun with a 30 mm automatic cannon and adds electro-optical/thermal sensors, automated target tracking and modern fire-control capabilities, bringing an ageing Soviet-designed platform closer to current battlefield requirements. The 13th Türkiye–Azerbaijan–Georgia Defence Ministers Meeting is scheduled for October 2 in Shusha.

➡️ The chiefs of general staff of Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia met in Riyadh on September 25 under the Makkah Defense Alliance to discuss military coordination, capability integration, deterrence and collective defence. Ankara also said it would block unauthorised cable- or pipe-laying and scientific research within the continental shelf it says was notified to the UN on March 18, 2020 and shaped by its maritime arrangements with Libya and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Türkiye and Greece are scheduled to maintain defence-level confidence-building contacts, with a National Defence University delegation due in Athens on October 7–9 under the bilateral Confidence-Building Measures framework.

➡️ Turkish forces are scheduled to maintain a broad multinational operational presence in October, including participation in NATO SNMCMG-2 and Black Sea mine-countermeasure activities, multinational exercises in Romania, Hungary, Italy, Norway and South Korea, and the Turkish-led Nusret-2026 and Akdeniz Fırtınası exercises in İzmir and Northern Cyprus.
