⚡️🇺🇸 — A breach of a Pentagon personnel database exposed sensitive information belonging to 2.76 million living people and 294,000 deceased individuals, including Social Security numbers and details of military and civilian jobs, according to a U.S. defense official cited by ABC News.

➡️ The scope and sensitivity of the data could raise national security concerns. The official said a Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) information system was subject to unauthorized access by a small number of users between October 2025 and July 2026, when DMDC discovered and patched the vulnerability, stating: “Upon discovery, DMDC immediately remediated the vulnerability.”

Officials said there is currently no evidence that any of the exposed information has been misused, while affected individuals are being offered identity-protection and credit-monitoring resources.
