⚡️🇱🇧🇺🇸 — Following today’s meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said they discussed developments in Lebanon and the region and restoring the country’s full sovereignty, with Beirut seeking a «renewed partnership with the United States» to rebuild the state and strengthen its legitimate institutions.

➡️ Salam called for implementing the tripartite framework through reciprocity and phasing, with «tangible results on the ground», including full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and exclusive state control of weapons nationwide, backed by a clear timetable and a reliable verification mechanism to track compliance and prevent non-implementation from obstructing the process.

He said the framework should also support relief, recovery, reconstruction, infrastructure and essential services, facilitate the return and resettlement of displaced persons—particularly in war-affected areas—and secure continued US assistance to the Lebanese Armed Forces and stronger capabilities to extend state authority across Lebanon.
