Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Strong Condemnation of Attacks on Civilian Infrastructure and Targets in Yemen
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the military attacks on various parts of Yemen, which have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a large number of defenseless Muslim people in Yemen and severe damage to the country's infrastructure. In this regard, the airstrikes on the Taiz market on Sunday afternoon, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 50 people and the injury of dozens of others, as well as the airstrikes on the city of Khab and Al-Sha'af, are also completely condemned.
The continued violation of Yemen's national sovereignty and territorial integrity and the aggressive operations against the cities and villages of this country, which recently witnessed attacks by the Zionist regime and the United States, along with the continued economic blockade of this country, are contrary to the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter, especially Article 2, Paragraph 4, and contrary to Islamic principles and teachings.
