⚡️🇮🇷🇪🇬 — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty in New York on Thursday to discuss regional developments, particularly the Palestinian issue, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation — IRNA.

➡️ Araghchi emphasized what he called a “moral and international legal responsibility” on all states, especially Muslim countries, to halt what he called as the “genocide of Palestinians.” He described the Palestinian issue as the contemporary world’s largest humanitarian and moral crisis, arguing that states were obligated to oppose occupation, support Palestinians’ right to self-determination, and help establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

➡️ The Iranian minister also cited Israeli military actions against Lebanon, Syria and other regional countries, emphasizing the need for stronger coordination among regional states, including through the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to counter what he termed Israeli expansionism and actions undermining regional security and stability.
