⚡️🇮🇶🇹🇷 — Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met in New York and, according to a joint statement reported by the Iraqi Prime Minister's Media Office, agreed to deepen security cooperation and strengthen strategic ties — INA.

➡️ The two sides agreed to extend the authority of the Iraqi state across Sinjar and end the presence of what they described as banned foreign armed elements. In light of Iraq's progress in implementing security measures, Turkish forces will gradually transfer the Bashiqa-Zilkan camp to the Iraqi federal government under an agreed mechanism and timeline.
