🚨🇮🇷 — The Quds Base of the IRGC Ground Forces said a joint operation by its forces, the provincial Intelligence Department and the Law Enforcement Command in southern Sistan and Baluchestan killed five members of an armed team and led to the arrest of several others.

➡️ One Quds Base serviceman was also killed in the fighting, identified as Brigadier General Hossein Zarifi, commander of the Shahid Sajjad Operational Base in Saravan, who had served in southern Sistan and Baluchestan for more than a decade; weapons and ammunition were recovered from the team's hideout.

➡️ The statement alleged that the group had been preparing attacks as part of what it described as a US and Israeli plan to carry out attacks in the province and create insecurity there.
