You don't have to endorse Russia's invasion to recognize how it could have been avoided: US upholding 1990 pledge to halt NATO expansion; Ukraine upholding Minsk II Accords it signed in 2015.
Upholding prior pledges is one path to ending this war. Another is more catastrophe.
