Crypto had a decent attempt at pushing higher today, but the momentum didn’t last. Most of the early gains were given back as we moved into the evening.
BTC is sitting around $81.5K, ETH at $2,417, and SOL near $104. All three have recovered from their lows, but the moves toward $82.8K, $2,490, and $107 respectively failed to hold.
ETH and SOL are the two assets I’m keeping a close eye on this weekend.
Both have taken a hit since our last update, and the main thing I want to see now is whether buyers can defend these recovery moves. A quick bounce looks good on the chart, but sustained buying pressure is what matters. We need to see these levels hold when sellers step back in.
Traditional markets were weak as well. The S&P 500 closed down around 1.1%, while the Nasdaq dropped 2.1%, with tech stocks continuing to face selling pressure.
For crypto to find its footing, BTC needs to establish some stability. If it keeps rejecting higher prices, it becomes much harder for ETH, SOL, and the rest of the altcoin market to build any meaningful momentum.
I’m still watching for good opportunities, but there’s no reason to rush into trades just because it’s the weekend.
The focus now is on strength, not just green candles. Let’s see which coins can hold their levels when the market faces another test. That will tell us far more than chasing whatever pumps the hardest for a few hours. 🫡
