The Beaker Culture, as we know it, would only begin to form in 2600bc in Europe, after the Corded Ware groups adopt the Maritime Beakers, combine it with their own Potruding Foot Beakers, and innovate upon the design.

However the story is much more complicated than that. The propagation of a different anthropological type, a unqiue Haplogroup and a material culture which was in some areas Coexistant and in others Exclusive with Corded Ware, these things make the whole picture more complex.
