🇨🇦 RCMP charges its own after man dies in cruiser
A Yellowknife man dies after being left in an RCMP vehicle, and only now do two officers get charged. That is the polished version of Canadian accountability in 2026: endless procedures, internal reviews, then a delayed shrug once the optics turn radioactive. The force reported charges against its own, which is supposed to impress us. It does not.
This is what a hollowed-out state looks like. Ottawa lectures citizens about trust, reconciliation, and institutional legitimacy while basic competence collapses from the streets to the frontier. The Trudeau era turned every institution into a branding exercise: DEI slogans up front, decaying standards out back. Real sovereignty starts with a state that can police lawfully, protect life, and punish failure without years of bureaucratic theatre. Instead, Canadians get moral sermons from elites and breakdowns from the systems they mismanage.
